About

Jan Ankiersztajn is a Polish designer and artist working across collectible design, sculpture, and functional objects. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2016 with a degree in Contextual Design, he established his independent practice in Poznan, where he creates objects that merge sculptural expression with material-driven experimentation.

Working primarily with aluminum, he combines traditional metal shaping techniques with self-developed and experimental processes. Since 2020, he has refined a proprietary method of constructing objects from sheet aluminum through independent research and hands-on experimentation. Every stage of the process, from concept and construction to forming, welding, casting, and finishing, is carried out by the artist himself.

His practice explores the tension between material limitations and creative intention, transforming rigid sheet metal into expressive forms that sit between art, design, and craftsmanship.
